Impact travel specialists, Journeys With Purpose and Soul Safaris, have released details of its inaugural all-women-for-women Flagship Journey in Kenya in partnership Daughters for Earth. The 11-day journey will connect with the women at the frontline of climate change in East Africa, showcase the extraordinary projects protecting and restoring the environment for the next generation, and explore the science and the strategy behind their work. Co-founder of Daughters for Earth, Zainab Salbi & COO of WildLives Foundation Rachel Rivera, will host the group for the duration, facilitating informal discussions, learning and reflection.

“This remarkable journey will shine a light on the extraordinary women and projects in Kenya that are working to protect and restore our planet for future generations,” said Venetia Martin, Partnerships Director, Journeys With Purpose. “This is a programme that is truly close to our hearts - we’ve worked closely with the brilliant team at Daughters for Earth to ensure we hear from a range of changemakers making real impact in East Africa. By introducing our guests to these pioneers, we’re forging a community of environmental advocates to champion these people, projects and places for years to come.”

“I have come to learn through my visits to Kenya that women who are rising up to protect Mother Earth, do not need empowerment. What they need is for their power to be reinforced, endorsed and celebrated, said Zainab Salbi, Co-founder of Daughters for Earth. “In this trip, we will get the chance to witness their work, learn so much about how to shift our relationship with nature and be filled with inspiration about how we can indeed protect Mother Earth. This is a trip of feminine power. In its strength, clarity and indeed beauty. I assure you it is a life changing experience.”

Daughters for Earth is dedicated to raising and deploying $100 million to women-led projects around the world that are driving change from the ground up. Through a powerful model of collaboration with leading experts, a global advisory council, and trusted partners with decades of experience, Daughters for Earth identifies highly effective women-led projects around the world and supports them with much-needed funding and awareness.

Soul Safaris, the transformative travel impact specialist, has co-created this safari with Journeys With Purpose and Daughters for Earth to highlight a programme that promotes a deep connection with Nature and a reconnection with the wild primordial self.

“Growing up in Kenya, from an early age, I have been blessed to feel a profound connection with Nature, understanding deeply the interconnectivity between the wellbeing of the planet and all it’s biodiversity and the wellbeing of humanity. Women are at the forefront of protecting our planet and their resilience, strength and commitment to our collective wellbeing is unwaivered” says Taran Kaur Gehlot, Founder of Soul Safaris. “Daughters for Earth is truly an inspiring campaign, revealing the power of women globally, to amplify their collective impact. It brings us great joy to be able to share their story through this Journey.”
